“ First time coming here the other weekend. Waited for bar seats with my girlfriend and the wait was worth it. Great atmosphere and a very nice staff. One of the chefs recommended I come in and I was thoroughly pleased with the food and service the whole time. We had the duck cigars and lamb chops for our appetizers and then the short rib and pork chop for our entrees. Everything we ate was phenomenal and we got the mousse cake for dessert to top it off! I'm actually going here again tonight for the second time and I'm excited to try something new! ”

Our old friend, who has done very well for himself, offered to buy dinner at the best restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland. I am no fool so I quickly consulted with my Yelp Elite peers in Ocean City and found The Hobbit! Boy, was this a terrific choice! The appetizer selection was unsurpassed in creativity and flavor. The service was first class all the way, we could not have asked for higher quality care by our service team. The view from the dining room was extraordinary and the sunset was spectacular. Parking was free and easy. There is an impressive selection of house-special cocktails and mine was delicious, (24 year-old Mccallen Scotch whiskey) The halibut special was extremely wonderful with late sweet corn and peppers! My chocolate desert was huge and fresh and delicious. My three old friends all raved about their meals! If you happen to be in Ocean City, and you love an epicurean celebration. you cannot do any better. Make a reservation the word is out! ”

“ My partner took me here for our anniversary dinner. We called in same day and was able to get a last minute reservation from a cancellation. So I would recommend making reservations ahead of time during busy seasons. Matt our sever was friendly and attentive. They added a happy anniversary card to our table which I loved. The crab cake was delicious! I also enjoyed our dessert and food. All in all a beautiful restaurant for fine dining in OC. ”

“ Fantastic experience. I've had this on my list for a while and it was great experience! I recommend making a reservation if you want to try The Hobbit! The highlight of the meal were certain the lamb chops in fact I would two orders next time as my meal! The scallop potatoes, gandolf salad and steak were also scrumptious. The drink were great and views fantastic. I will certainly be back! ”

“ The Hobbit was a wonderful choice for an upscale birthday dinner. Everything was excellent! We snagged a last minute reservation after a cancellation due to weather and thankfully it held out for us as we sat outside. The view was great! Food was incredible, even starting with the fresh rolls (of course we got a refill). The crab soup was lovely and catch of the day (halibut) came with corn, bacon, asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Duck breast was done very well. Cocktails and mocktails were wonderful. Our server was excellent and we appreciated the birthday sign :) will return next time in OCMD! ”

“ Looking for a higher end restaurant in ocean city with delicious food, amazing views, and breathtaking views? Look no further than the Hobbit. This restaurant has a healthy mix of everything on their menu. Pictured are some of the appetizers. The calamari was delicious and the crab stack was 11/10. Only comment would be I wish we had some more of the wonton chips. For dinner I had the crab cake and it lived up to the hype. The portion was massive and everything was delicious. Service was fantastic and very friendly. Definitely add the Hobbit to your vacation itinerary. ”

“ As a long-time frequenter of O.C., I've been coming to The Hobbit for years and have never been disappointed. My appetizer personal favorite is the Lollipop Lamb Chops--tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Close seconds are the Smoked Beef Carpaccio and the Elite Baked Oysters, both of which are consistently delicious. When it comes to entrées, I highly recommend the crab cakes and the filet mignon. As for drinks, I'm a huge dirty martini fan, and the "Polish Dirty Thoughts" cocktail (stuffed blue cheese olives) is to die for. The gluten-free options here are outstanding. All the dishes I've mentioned are gluten-free, including the crab cakes. The atmosphere is top-notch--elegant and upscale with gorgeous views of the bay. I recommend coming at sunset for a particularly spectacular view. The service is excellent; the staff are kind, helpful, and welcoming, making every visit a memorable experience. ”

“ We spent a long weekend in Ocean City specifically to eat here and it was fantastic! The entrance is an adorable circular Hobbit door, and as you walk through, the white interior reflects the light coming in from the long glass wall facing the marshes. No matter where you sit in the restaurant, you get a great view through that glass wall. Our server was so friendly and kind, she came back to check on us frequently and helped recommend dishes to try. The manager also came by to check on our experience, which is such a simple but impactful gesture! The food was wonderful. We started with duck cigars, and they were so crispy, the meat was tender, and the sauces complimented it well. I had the maple glazed salmon as my entree and the filet was so huge, I couldn't finish it all. I loved the vegetables that came with it, too. My fiancée had the swordfish and dayboat scallop special and it was incredibly fresh and so flavorful. The scallops were meaty and complemented the swordfish flavor well. We will absolutely be back the next time we're down the ocean! ”
